Anyone who has ever worked at Andy's Market knows about party day. Mrs. A took great care to make sure that her employees were happy and appreciated and one way she did this was to have a celebration every month with a huge spread of food and cake to honor anyone's birthday that month.
The back room would be decked out with all kinds of goodies all day long. Just one of the many ways that Mrs. A was the heart of this special grocery store.
Mrs. A was a fabulous cook! I didn't work there but was privileged to enjoy her hospitality as a teen in the town.
